Light buld burnout related ???

Hi all, can any of you tell me whether our cars ( 4th Gen's specifically ) have the following system.
"the bulb-out warning systems"
Apparently what happens with this type of system when a buld burns out, the remaining working blinker will either blink rapidly, or not blink at all.

Have any of you noticed what happens to you indicator when when one of the two bulds burns out???
If anyone an remember it would prevent me from having to rip the indicators apart.

Let me know
Thanks
