My guess is, you have to go into the parametric EQ probably, i tried to DL the pdf off the site to see how it works, but it wouldnt work for me.

there is no "bass and treble" function on the 9815. you just got into the eq mode.

I have a 9813 which is very similar to the feature set of the 9815. You've probably figured this out already, but you need to go into manual configuration of the parametric EQ to make the changes you mentioned. To do this, you should hit the EQ button 1x, wait for the factory EQ preset modes to startup, then press and hold the parametric EQ button for about 2-3 seconds, until the custom mode starts up. Once in custom mode, you can select specific frequences (80-120 hz would be good for bass), gains +/- 6 and bandwidth 1-3 (1 is wide 3 is narrow), you may also save your settings by pressing and holding one of the numbered preset buttons. I hope this helps!

I agree. Alpine should have provided a way to get into the custom EQ settings with a single button press instead of two and a wait on the second . . . Oh well.
