Just bought a 2001 Maxima w/factory Bose, and thinking about buying a CD
changer. Looking for help/photos/testimonials of how easy the install is.
Was the OEM unit a dealer-installed option? Are the mouting holes pre-
drilled/wiring pre-wired? Found a 6-disc factory unit online for appx $220
shipped, but would like to hear some examples from others that might have
done what I'm considering.

i was asking this same question a few days ago and i found out that the 6-disk bose is swapable with the 1-disk bose but not the non-bose. apparently it just swaps in and out. where did you find the 6-disk? i cant find them anywhere.

Also, I just removed my Nissan CD Changer (bought iPod) and am selling it. It's just a few months old, works perfectly, and comes with all cables and hardware. I'll sell it for $150 shipped. Let me know.

If you are going to install the 6-disc changer on the one cd bose hu (2000 and 2001 maximas) then u will have to get the wiring harness and run it all the way back to the trunk if that's where you want to mount it. If u mount it make sure u get the mounting kit too.
