Best place to mount HID ballast / ignitor?

Best place to mount HID ballast / ignitor?
Not much room in the ol' engine bay near the headlights to mount the ballast or ignitor. How did you guys do it?

Remove the headlight and mount the ballast under it on the support. Mount the starter right next to the headlight on the back side
