replaced my clutch with Exedy stage 1.....hard to put it in gear?!

ive been driving on my new clutch for about 1000 miles now.....one thing that i have noticed is that is it really hard to downshift to first gear.....i have to like force it into gear......i am just running on some standard Gl-4 tranny oil....i was wondering if its my tranny oil that is causing this? it feels really notchy....im not sure if its the clutch or the oil or both?

I had this same problem with a spec clutch and what is was is a prong on the pressure plate was bent not even visable by eye so that is most likely your problem

Check your clutch fluid, and you could try bleeding the clutch.

downshifting is not bad for your clutch unless you dont match rpms and try to avoid downshifting into first maybe your clutch is not alligned just right to.
