whoaa whats the deal

alright so i got my brake pads changed about 5000 miles ago. and have noted that my rear brakes are dusting about tripple what my front ones are.

before i got them changed at least i think the front ones were about twice as dusty as the rear.. why the change? will this stop?

Mine are doing the same thing on my 03 maxima.....

The rear, since i put on new rotors and OEM pads, has been dusting way more than the front. I would also like to know what the reason for that is.

this is the same for me. i got the rears replace by nissan more than 6 months ago and ever since then they dusted far more than the fronts. i thought this may just be a change in the rear pad material but who knows. i had fronts done just recently by nissan and still the rears dust more than the fronts. i would like to know why as well.

i had the same problem and was told that the organic compound was changed on the brake pad surface, causing it dust a lot more

That makes the most sense. That's why some people switch to ceramic pads. They don't dust like other compounds do.

I use ceramics, but if I were in your situation the first thing I would do is bleed the lines. Might be air entrapment.

How much dust do you get with your ceramics. Air in the brake lines would make a soft peddle and bad braking not dusting.

who told you this? cause i had fronts replaced more recently than the rears and the rears still dust more. is this change just for the compound on the rears? doesn't seem likely.
