mass air flow- cel
mass air flow- cel
I just got my max back from the body shop on wed, when i got it back the cel came on. Checked the code and it came up something about mass air flow insufficient or something along those lines (don't recall code number). Well anyway I reset it and it came back on after about 100 miles or so, haven't had a chance to check the code but i'm assuming the same code. The only symptoms i'm having is sitting at idle after about 30 secs or so the rpms drop to about 500 and idles real rough. I disconnected the maf and the car died right out so it's still doing something. I do have a cone filter that is quite dirty could that be doing anything? Is there anyway to try cleaning it or anything? Or is it just on its way to need replacement? I would try to mess with it but its wayy to cold out there. Only reason i'm even worried about it cuz my inspection is due the end of the month and im not sure whether you can pass with a cel in pa. thanks in advance
i changed the filter and wiped down the mass air yesterday. only had a chance to let the car run for about 15 mins or so but the idle didnt dip at all and the cel didnt come back on yet. ill give it a couple days and see what happens.
