My transmition just died on me

My automatic transmition in my maxima just died on me.
For coupe of month almost every time it was changing gear from 2 to 3 it was revving up before it change the gear and few days ago it started at about 2000 rpm squeak more and more everyday so today I went to the dealer to make an appointment and I did for Thursday. After that I went home and later on I went to pick up my son. On the way I was merging to get on the highway when it happened. When I accelerate to merge the rev went up to 6000 but the 3 gear didn’t kick in so I hat to drive on the second gear on highway and believe me I feel like driving my Max 50km/h on the highway knowing that my max is &@##ed. When I arrived at the place where my son was I tried to park but there was no reverse. From there I drove strait to the dealer but on the way (on the second gear) Service Engine Soon comes up. When I got in the service was still open so they check my car and they sad that the tranny is dead and I need a new one but first they need to get OK from Nissan. So for now I still a little but on the other hand I will have new tranny so I think that a good think – but I’m still

Well, that sucks man. Guess it will be done under warranty, which is good.

I REALLY have to find a good dealer to look at mine soon. I'm almost at 52k on the dial and I want to have them check out the transmission before it dies on me. I have that second-third slippage problem, which really concerns me.
