Help!!!!! car wont go into gear

i was just now driving my car and it started to get really hard to put into gear... then it became harder and harder, then it took about 10-15 seconds to put it into gear then i just drove home in 2nd gear.... then i parked the car and checked the engine bay.... it seems that there may be some kind of fluid on top of my tranny.... anyone have any idea of what this could be???? I dont just think im low on fluid...

thanks

-JOn

PS---- the car is in my driveway right now and idk what to do....

That fluid on top of your transmission is possibly a leak from your slave cylinder. Have you checked the fluid on the master cylinder resovoir?

yeah its clutch fluid, check if that black hose is leaking. also check the container in the driver side corner towards the firewall is empty or not. if its empty you have a leak in the clutch fluid. clutch fluid=dot 3 or 4 brake fluid.

www.motorvate.ca check on the slave cylinder hose replacement and the leak problem
