someone tried to break into my max...

A FEW HOURS AGO...I JUST woke up from a nap and had a gut feeling something was going on with my car...called my bro from his room and we went outside to check it...found 2 guys pretty much with a whole fu-king tool kit turned toward my car but with their backs to us...figured they were trying to get into my trunk...before they could hurt my max we caught them by surprise...had a huge batman scene (BOOM! BANG! CRASH!) next thing we know the guys are limpin' off the side of the street...only to get pulled over by a neighborhood cop for questioning...cops came to my house and accused my of beating these guys for no reason...thank god a few neighbors were there when we got rid of these guys...neighbors were able to back me up...They were witnesses...thank god...now im extremeley paranoid...and the fact that i was almost hit by a woman in a surburban today doesnt make me feel any better....Decided to invest in a car alarm system...in the next 2 weeks..and am gonna be parking the car in the garage from now on...what the hell else can i put on my car to prevent thefts or break-ins?...Flames blowing out the cars sides may be an option..but im looking for something cheaper...possibly an insanely strong trunk latch?

Thank God that you're still alive. What if they had weapons? One bullet would have been a different story.
Either way, be careful.
I had my Viper 791 for a while now and it does its job, especially in nyc.

dam, if i ever catch anyone in my garage at night or my alarm going off with them in my car, i swear hell will break loose. i hate thefts, so if you want to lose your face, come to to garage at night and let me catch you. yea, its good to know some 'moves', but that cant stop steal. man, always be on top of things, stay on your toes, its a cold world out there. my co worker got this cheap alarm for the yard or driveway from radioshack, you plug this piece in your outlet in your house and put this other piece where ever you want outside, well if they 'cross the line'. it will go off. never seen it, just heard of it. hey, $30, it might help if you have a driveway or something.

ya ****ing jackers...great work dude. taught them a lesson. i wouldnt worry too much about it, just keep the car in the garage for a lil while. it would be a really dumb idea for them or even their friends to go around your house up to no good, especially now! lol

Viper Alarm and park it in the garage.

Man thank god for gut feelings right? The moment I hear anything up with my car, rest assured that I got a gun in one hand.

To bad you have to be in fear for your life and not for your car to get away with shooting someone. All I can say is make damn sure the 'perp' has something in his hands that can be construed as a weapon and that you have witnesses before pulling the trigger or your life it will cost in the slammer. Another great piece of info I learned is if you drop the hammer make damn sure they are not getting back up. In other words...never shoot to wound. Dead men can't sue you cuz they are eating through a straw the rest of their life.

As far as alarms, I have a Clifford Arrow 3...may be old but it's caught everyone tampering with the car since I've had it. They all had very bad days and even though I drew down on em...I never fired because they a) **** themselves and b) had they moved a foot toward me at any point I would have been in "fear for my life"

Just trying to offer some things to file away for the unforunate time it becomes necessary for you to be in that type of decision making event. It can really screw your life if you say the wrong things afterwards.

The alarm for then driveway is a good thing. My employees family has one and they live outside of town. His dad yelled at him one night to ask if he asked friends to come over. He said no. His dad yelled back, you'd better go see what those guys are doing with your Blazer. He went outside and it was 3 guys at his car and 2 up on the road. He shouted at them and they started to move back to the road and when he turned around his dad was flying out of the garage with the pickup and started chasing the group of a$$holes into the cornfield. My friend laughed his a$$ off before going into the house to call the cops. The cops came out and told them that this group had stolen a Escalade in town, crashed it, destroyed it, started it on fire and were looking for something to get them back to town. All the neighbors were notified and the guys were picked up shortly after... So, in their case, the driveway alarm helped out!!

Well..your own life isn't worth it truely. But someone has the gall to attempt to rob me? Whether or not it's the car, their life is worth exactly squat in my book. We're too damn easy on criminals anyways. I like Texas' idea of an express line to the death chamber! But this is for a whole nother thread
