Got my Budget SS ypipe installed, question

ok guys, got it, and installed it. The only thing is that my car got about twice as loud. why? i have no idea.

I have read couple of threads reguarding how the Ypipe would make things a tad louder but not to this certain extent.
Is it like this only in the beginning or is there even a break in period? or will it be this loud always?
Too loud for my taste, and if it stays like this, i guess i will be getting rid of this exhaust and getting a quieter one.

with a stock cat back adding a y-pipe is really not noticeable. Now, if you have an aftermarket ca back and install a y-pipe it will get much louder

what kinda catback do you have?...you could go to an exhasut shop and get the biggest, most badass thickest resonator they make ... budget makes a Bpipe to with biult in resonator ... ive heard that the budget Bpipe/w resonator and Ypipe is pretty quiet

honestly, its not rice loud or anything. It has like some sort of deep rumble, a nice drone to it, sounds mean as hell, but i feel like its a little too loud. its not annoying.
you know how V8's sound? mean as hell right? well....lets just say its a V6 version of mean sound to it haha.

Buy a nice Dynomax perforted core resonator or a Magnaflow resonator.

...and with the stock muffler.

Stay away from straight-through mufflers if you want stock noise levels.
