crossover?

crossover?

im replacing my frony speakers with some components and was wondering where a good spot for the x-overs would be there 4" wide,4 1/2" long and 1 1/2 "deep. this is for a 95 btw.

If the tweeters are going in the door, I mount them to the door frame itself with backstrap usually. If the tweeters are going in a pillar, I usually put em in the kick panel.

i think im putting them in the door not to sure yet so the x-overs will fit inside the doorpanel?

I mounted the crossovers in the doorpanel. I put screws into the panel and mounted the crossovers on those screws. Be careful though, with the first screw I put in I went slightly through the vinyl on the inside of the door. (luckily it was vinyl that was inside the map compartment and doesn't show)... in other words just don't screw too far into the panel if you choose to do it this way. Also I'd get some rubber washers or something to that effect, with deep bass my crossovers rattle a little in the doorpanel.

mine are in the door, mounted just above the speakers.
