I used the paste form today for the first time and would have to say its one of the best waxes I have used. I used it in combination with Turtle Wax 2001 polish and the final result was a very deep shine. I would highly recommend this wax.

Ya, the NXT is a good product although I would stay away from anything that TurtleWax makes (poor ingredients in their polishes). I would recommend a Meguiars polish if you are doing that sort of thing before the NXT, then you will see a REAL deep shine.

 

I agree about the NXT. It's good stuff. I used it after some Meguiar's Gold Class Swirl Remover. Seems to be lasting pretty good, too.

 

I just picked some up yesterday, and hope to try it out today. Unless I get lazy in the meantime, I think I'm going to clay and put on a coat of Meguiars #7 first. I normally use the #26 for wax, but decided to give the NXT a try since I had to buy wax anyway.

 

Yeah, nxt is good stuff. Even makes a light colored car like mine stand out.

 

I use NXT on all my cars. Its awesome stuff. It really brings out the color.

 

i have a meg. deep gloss product made for black cars...its almost like black shoe polish, it really hides scratched and makes the car super black...those of you witha black max should try it

But it's soo damn expensive...it's like $27CDN...But the better question is how long it lasts? Cuz my bro-in-law told me these polymer type wax are good but they don't last too long.

 

Yea, the stuff is a little on the expensive side, but believe me, once you see the shine on your car, it'll be worth it.

 

Meguiars puts out a NXT detailing kit. I just got the Summer Catalog and the kit with everything included is $109 U.S.

 

I also use this wax and I have been very happy with the results. It works very well on my carbon fiber hood and trunk as well. The only thing I find odd about the wax is that it comes off in little *****...kinda like glue

i love NXT, but it is a far 2nd compared to zaino. But considering the cost of zaino and the hours you need ot make it look nice. go with the NXT. The liquid works great and oh man it smells good enough to eat.

 

O yeah, NXT gooooooooooooood, for lazy guy like me, wipe on and wipe off, that it no need buffing, shine like new.

 

I am planning on using some NXT. Should I get the liquid or the paste?? I plan on applying and buffing by hand with terry cloths.

 

liquid? as in like a spray bottle? I only saw the squeeze bottle, musta been the paste, then. used it and love it! feels amazing when clayed before!

 

by liquid i mean the one in the squeeze bottole.. the paste is the one in the can
so for the liquid, i just squeeze on car, and spread with applicator, then wait to dry and remove with terry cloth?? do i need to use pressure when removeing wax?? and when applying should I go back and forth, or apply in swirls??? and for removing?? thnx

 

The benefit of NXT is that it's easy to apply and looks great. However, I've found that NXT doesn't last very long. For those who wax their cars weekly, NXt is great, but if you expect it to last more than a couple of weeks, you might be disappointed.

From other's experiences I've gathered NXT doesn't do that well in warmer climates. I'm in Hawaii and noticed a clear loss in durability after about a week.

I've since gone back to boutique products that are harder to apply, but look just as good and last a lot longer.

 

what if a carnuaba was applied after the synthetic NXT?

 

The only thing I tried as a topper for NXT was Poorboys EX-P, which is a synthetic. It didn't change the appearance so much, but definitely made it last longer.

I've heard of good results with NXT topped with carnuba's like #16 or #26 on Autopia, but never tried it myself. BTW, one of the cool things about NXT was that it seemed to get a deeper look a few hours after the initial application/buff off.

+1 I've tried a lot of different waxes and sealants including NXT. I gotta say, on a properly prepped surface, Zaino blows NXT outta the water in terms of depth, reflectivity and durability. In two hours, I can get put three coats of Z2 on, two coats of Z6 and a coat of Grand Finale. I know the sealant is also good for about six months in terms of protection but I always apply a couple more coats each weekend because as we all know, cars pick up new dings and blemishes every week and they need to be sealed to head off worse damage.
