I went to get my car inspected today. With the addition of y-pipe and an O2 simulator, I was still a bit nervous. The good news is that I passed everything except for the clear corners! I'm so happy. I have to find my front yellow markers and I'm all set.

Anybody want to donate their front yellow corner lights to me?

I kept my original corners for that reason in particular cause I had a feeling that would happen to me when the time comes. If I find a mechanic or dealer around here that can inspect my car and pass all the illegal stuff I'll sell ya my old corners or I'll just tell ya the guy to go to

 

wait,did you go to a NJ inspection station,or a private guy?

I got mine last friday at Lakewood inspection station..passed, and in and out in 20 minutes. I put back in my amber side markers before i got there, even though i was REPEATEDLY told on here, that they wouldnt be a problem. Good thing i did. (if anyone is thinking of posting 'they have to refleeeeect amber'....please resist the urge, and shut up

 

I went to Motor Vehicles for inspection. I thought I saved the amber ones along with the red. I have the red but can't find the amber. I'm going to try and put yellow bulbs in the front and put the red in the rear. The inspection said "FAILED: Blue lights".

Did you go to Lakewood w/ a Y-pipe or headers ? I live in Howell and was going to wait on my exhaust until after my inspection. But if they are not therough I do it sooner.

 

nah, my exhaust is all stock (Exactly like you, i was actually waiting to change anything until i got my new sticker). BUT, read the first post again...this dude passed wit a ypipe, so why shouldnt you.
Funny because ive never had any issues with my exhaust, and literally the DAY before i go for inspection, my exhaust is LOUD as hell. (Hole in muffler,loose fittings somewhere, i dunno) I thought i was slick by rolling into the garage up in lakewood, not giving it any gas so they didnt here this rumbling. Of course they threw it on the machine 5 seconds later and floor it, so in the end it didnt matter.

 

oh, make sure you stay off rt9 in lakewood until you get your new sticker. i know for damn sure, you wont pass inspection if your missing a bumper,headlights, and side mirrors. You know route 9, in that whole 1st ave - 10th ave area is a free for all as far as driving is concerned

 

Sell you some orange lights for 10 bucks . I'm on the Totowa border off of union ave.

just go and see what happens. if you fail, go get the o2 sim and go back next week

 

PASSED and good till 7/07!!! I invested $3 to get amber 194 bulbs from Autozone. Put red markers in rear and installed amber bulbs with clear sides in the front. NO PROBLEM.

P.S. Went to Wayne for 1st inspection. Then went to Paramus for 2nd inspection because it's open till 7pm. Wanted to get this over with.

 

well since your in the northern part of jersey... jus come throo to paterson and get ur car inspected with them illegal shlt... i have tints 5 % all around and guy jus passed me for 100 bucks...
