i swapped out the pro kit for the sprints. took me about 4.5 hours using a manual spring compressor. i never installed springs before. fairly easy. the ride is the same as the pro kit just a shade tighter. the front is defitnetly lower but the back looks the same as far as ride height goes. hopefully they will settle more. i want no wheel gap at all. anyway my max looks better now because the front isnt higher than the back. the only problem was on the front i couldnt get the brake line little metal u shaped holder to go back on. anyboby know how to? will post new pics soon.

 

I had to use a hammer to get that u-shaped clip to the brake line holder.

 

Installing springs is easy Right?

 

My rear is the same height as when I had my Eibachs too, rather dissapointing but the front is perfect just enough room to barely get 2 fingers in. My rear springs never really settled down at all though, atleast in the 600 miles I have had them on.

 

did you cut the bumpstops?

 

You don't want to drive a Maxima with no wheel gap, there would be absolutely no travel left. My ground controls are dropped as low as possible up front, and there is still maybe 1 finger of gap. It sits about 1.5" above the bumpstop. The ride is very bouncy, so if there were no gap, there would be no travel. What I am going to do pretty soon is to buy custom springs for the front. The same rate, but shorter springs. That way, I can crank them up a little for daily driving, and slam it down for shows. I want to bust tuck at shows. The back already can do it when dropped all the way, the edge of my 19" rim is even with the fender, but the front always has gap.

sprintmax- i did not cut any bump stops. they might have been cut when i had the pro kit installed last year.

nickstam- yeah putting springs in is not hard at all

 

Where are the bumpstops does anyone have a pic of them? Also what would it do if you do not cut them?
