Found a 14-inch wheel that fits our cars...

1991-1992 Toyota MR2 (Rear). They actually look fairly good.

The bolt pattern is same as ours (5X114.3), but I am not sure how much they weight. However, all MR2 wheels are pretty light. The 15X6 wheels weight 14.5 lbs, so I would assume that the 14X7 wheel is pretty light.

M&H makes a 25.5"X9.0"X14" size slick that's very interesting to me. I currently have 23X8.5X15 and they are simply not consistant at all. Too small for my power level (at least since I put in the more aggressive Altima first gear). I had no problem fitting the 23X8.5 on a 6.5-inch wheel, so I doubt I would have a problem fitting the 25.5X9.0 on a 7.0-inch wheel.

The 25.5s would have 11.5" worth of sidewall, instead of only 8" for the 23's (Even at 10 psi they only hook up once in a while, and at that low of a psi it kills my trap speed and has way too much rolling resistance in the second 1/8 mile, really kills top end). 25.5's would provide a ton more sidewall, I wouldn't have to drop them too low, and lightweight 14-inch wheels would improve acceleration compared to the 19-20 lbs 15-inch sawblades.

Also with 25.5's and a raised rev limiter I would have no problem staying in 3rd instead of going into 4th like I do now. The contact patch of the 25.5X9.0's would be considerably bigger than the 23's and I would probably be able to launch off the rev limiter.

According to this, with a 7000 rev limiter, I would be able to wind out 3rd to a whopping 109 MPH instead of 92 mph as it is with the 23's and the 6550 rev cut:

I still need to find the actual weight of these, but they can be had pretty cheap and they might actually fit on our cars (there's a guy with a 96 maxima selling winter tires mounted on 14-inch steel rims, says he used them for 2 winters, so that means the 14-inchers might actually fit over our calipers).

Does anyone have the actual weight of the 14X7 MR2 wheel? (I believe it's only 1991 and 1992)

Looked it up and didn't find the MR2 weight for the 14x7, but noticed the 82-85 Celica Supra also had a 14x7 at 15lbs. I wouldn't be surprised if they were 5x114.3 but its late and I'm heading to bed now. I'll look it up tomorrow if you haven't already by then.

The sawblades barely clear stock brakes, I dont think any 14" wheel would. But only one way to find out

Ford Probe/MX6 wheels are 14" and they don't fit my car. I went to a wheel shop and they had some in stock. The guy was nice enough to pull one of the 14" wheels to see if they'd fit and it wasn't even close! The stock brakes were WAY too big. It wasn't even close to fitting. The bolt pattern and offset would have worked if it would have fit over my brakes. The only way they would fit is if you spaced them out enough to completely clear the fender and the calipers. It's basically the same thing some Civic guys have to do to put 13" slicks on their car.

I wanted to do this a while back b/c I wanted to fit a 20" MT slick on my car and the only way to do that was to have 14" wheels. Oh well, I am forced to use the 22" MT slicks that I have along with the 4.08 final drive I am going to install.

Problem is I have a stock engine (no rod bolts) and I don't want to rev it above 7000 rpms.
