I don't have a pic of my car, but I have used the regular Nissan wind deflector made for each generation of Maxima on every one of my Maximas since September of 1984, and have never had a problem. You can get this from any Nissan dealer's parts department.

More Maximas come with the power sunroof than with the skyview, and every Maxima on my dealer's lot with a sunroof already has a wind deflector installed. If you live near a dealer . . .

Also, as you see 6th gen Maximas on the road or around town (I saw at least half a dozen just taking care of chores locally today), take a peek; probably more than half will have the deflector.

If not near a dealer, a large parking lot is also a good place to look. If you spot one there, you can stop and study it. Look hardest out at the fringes of the lot, away from the store/mall; Maxima owners often will not risk parking their beauty where careless peons can ding it with their doors.

Here you go. I took off most of the decals after this picture was taken.

Does using a wind deflector make much of a difference? Do you recommend installing one? I priced one at the dealer the other day and they want 90 bucks for it. Besides a cool look, what are the benefits?

It keeps alot of the wind out of the car. Try doing a search and see if you can find it cheaper. Later Warren
