So i was wondering if i went from a 225-45-18 to a 235-40-18 would i feel much of a difference, meaning will i feel more road because going from 45-40..

Are you running stock springs and shocks? You might get some squeak on the rebound from the shocks if you choose a lower profile tire.

 

dunno.. all i've been runnin is just 235/40/18

 

Do you have a drop on the stock struts?

 

H&R springs....Ilumina struts..as written in the orginal post

 

I didn't feel much difference. I was originally on S-Techs when I first switched out.

I would probably go 235/45/18

Its closer to the stock size rim, and you wont have any calibration issues with your speedometer. Also, the extra sidewall depth will give your rims a little better protection.

i just recently switched up to 235/45/18... can i say nice... to ride again.

the side wall made such a difference... now the ride is OEM again... but the look is still sporty....

One thing to consider is the tire ... "summer" or "all season"... the lower profile tires were rated for summer 235/40/18 kuhmos and the all season are goodyears rsa 235/45/18.... the ride is much more forgiving with the good year... i guess the tire sidewall is softer.... and well now i dont have much to worry about .... tire size is fine and not to too meaty for the rims... my 18's still look ok.

I was wondering i got 19 millies with 235 35 (ride is Crap) i wanted to get either 245 35 or
245 40 Will it ride better or not ???????i have S techs and with my 17 setup it was fine and plus there is a gap with the 19 VS my 225 50 17

 

I'm rolling on 235/40/18's on a stock supension. Ride is definitely more harsh than OEM wheel set up, but tolerable. Any time you go with a low profile, the bumps, etc. will feel magnified. I'll be feeling the luxury of the stock set up when the winter stock five spokes go back on. I would imagine with a lowered suspension you would feel everything no matter what wheel/tire combo you have.

 

I also running 235/40/18's on stock suspension but I actually dun feel a difference compared to my 215/55/16's. I'm sure if i lower my car, i'm def gonna feel bumps harder.
