The differential bearings in my 5speed are going out and instead of rebuilding it again I am going to get a 5th gen tranny. I called up nissan and they gave me a price of $2220 for a 2k1 AE 5speed with LSD (which is actually cheapper than the 2k w/o lsd) and before I order it I just want to make sure there isnt some place else I should buy it from. I tried googling things like "oem nissan parts" or "nissan transmission" ect. but all the sites that come up dont have whole transmissions.

Does anyone have any experience buying a new tranny from nissan? Should I expect a long wait?

There is only one 5speed with LSD on car-part and its in Virginia, plus I would much rather just buy a new one. My car already has so many problems, buying used parts is the last thing I want to do.

Thanks a lot. I just called them up and actually got a fellow maxima enthusiast. Their price was only $1665 and shipping to my shop is only another $100. Awsome site and their people are really helpful, thanks again nmexmax.
