I'm looking to replace an O2 sensor (SES on). any diff. b/w the Walker and Bosch brands other than price?

 

as far as I know Bosche is OEM and I doubt the others are any different...

 

i,ve used walker before and my brother has them now with no problems.

 

Sorry to kinda go off topic but is there any difference in changing the O2 sensors on the 97-99 models than if you were to do it on 95-96?

The How-to-do-it only have the 95-96 instructions...

 

nope its the same as simple as changing a spark plug. unless its cali or fed spec they are all located in the same place

 

I never heard of the walker oxygen sensor, is it less money? I just changed mine and the bosch was what my mechanic told me to use. Just thought its allways better to go with oem.

 

the rear o2 is in a slightly differnt place and its a different part number.

 

the left and right bank sensors are the same part one is located in the front by the radiator and the other by the passenger side, if you take off the wheel you will see it, the only one that is different is the one after the cat.

 

exactly. also the 2 front sensors are actually the same, but the wires are a different length. i have swapped them around with no problems.

 

So is it safe to say theres no problem with going with Walker instead of Bosch?

 

many have gone w/ walker. no probs...

 

I changed all three of mine to Walker. No problems. They just cost a little less!!

0707 is "Rear heated O2 Sensor," and from what I gather this is the *more expensive* one downstream of the cat, right? Don't want to go and make a stupid mistake like getting the wrong type here.

 

thats it theres only one rear so your safe. the other 2 are front heated left and right bank

 

miens threw a code 2-3 times arleady. my latest one which iresetted showed NO Errors. someimtes it shows 0707, sometimes it shows the NO ERROR cel. i really d k what's up. it can't hurt to change.

i have 70k on mines, currently for 2 weeks w/ the car reset im not getting that code no more.

 

that means its on its way out, from what i gather the rear sensor is a back up for the 2 front so thats why its probably intermitting. if it keeps coming on i would just change it and call it a day.
