Still trying to recover from 2002 Max envy and I'm a constant hunt for more HP anything will do!!!
I want to get an exhaust pipe now but I dont want bees in a can!!! I want the best one for our cars but it also should make me sound like a Garbage Truck! Any suggestions Stillen, HK, GReddy? What to do, what to do? Holla...

You want to sound like a garbage truck?

The best setup will give lots of noise, while the quietest setup will be stock. Trade-offs.....

So far...
y pipes:
Cattman
Stillen

cat:
Random Technology
one more but I forgot the name

b pipe:
custom

muffler:
Stillen
HKS
any other universal mufflers that need welding

DooBall,
by removing the stock muffler you'll get more resonance but more flow. As to how much tolerance you have, that's up to you. From what I've seen here, the HKS seems to be a little louder than the Stillen.

Here is a picture of the new HKS muffler for the 2K Max: http://www.eatricezone.com/images/hksmuffler01.jpg

In stock and ready to ship out =)

Been readin up on mufflers and finding out that for the amount of noise they create (loud buzz), the HP gain is not so great. The catback exhaust system people seem to think is more worth it but I'm trying to learn what the catback consists of what kinds of mods does it entail?

Re: Catback exhaust vs new muffler w/y-pipe?

if you want performance and not that much sound just get a Y pipe, b pipe, and a cat and use the stock muffler.
Seriously I think our stock mufflers are pretty decent.
Even 4th gener's want our exhaust

I agree.
As soon as I get some loot and the warranty is up (I've seen how Nissan treats you modders. I've already got eibachs...very nervous), I'm going with that exact set-up
(Y pipe, b pipe, and cat).
I think it was desertpearl that went back to the stock after having an aftermarket on his.
We have a good muffler.
