How much $ for '99 immobilizer key/keyfobs

Just bought a 99 Maxima, but it only came with a single key. So, I need to buy at least one, maybe two more "chipped" immobilizer keys, as this car is a late 1999 model. Also I need to get some keyless entry keyfobs. I think I read that the keyfobs can be programmed "do it yourself" style by instructions in the owners manual. But that the chipped keys need to be done at the dealer. Anybody have an idea of a fair price for immobilizer keys, and the dealer programming? What about the keyless entry keyfobs? Do any Nissan dealers have any deals on these keys/keyfobs? Thanks alot, I think the dealer said they could get a programmed key for $120...

Yeah the keys you have to get at the dealership for about $100 each key. You can get the fob on Ebay and program it yourself.

The dealer is probably the most reliable way to get one.

Hit up ebay for the keyfob shouldn't be more than $10-15 and sometimes you can find chip key blanks on there as well. If you can't find the key blanks on ebay you can get generic key blanks from www.streetkeys.com and have them programmed at a local dealership.

If you have one in your RS you don't need a chipped key to start it. Just go to Wal-mart and have them cut a key for you for $3. It will work.

Programming for the remote can be found here: http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...1&postcount=17
as found in the 4th gen How To sticky.

Programming for the key has to be done through the dealership, I think last I checked I was quoted about $30 for programming a key blank.
