squeaking/thudding when turning left

so I was in the parking lot making a slow left turn when I realized that there was some sort of squeaking or thudding. It only happens when Im turning left. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

Rack and pinion bushings. I have this problem on both sides when I have the wheel fully turned, sounds like a hard *** clank. SUCKS. I need to get it fixed.

Could be as simple as you needing an alignment. My car would make this strange clunk when I turned left or right. A friend pointed out my tire was balding on the outside so I obviously needed an alignment (road maintenance in VA is **** poor). After the alignment everything was fine.

okay...the last time I had the car serviced...they pointed out to me that they recommend the left inner tie rod to be replaced. Could this be a cause of the noise? If so how important is it for me to have this part replaced? Am I in any danger driving around with a worn or bad left inner tie rod?
