are the pipes thick enough?
cheap junk or decent equipment?

not all are bad. i got my piping on e-bay and my intercooler on e-bay but they where seperate. remember you get what you pay for.

it's a universal pipe kit, if you read the details you'll see, as for the intercooler, it has a 3year warranty so i'd just be more worried about loosing boost pressure and the thickness of the pipe

Lay out your whole system first. Determine all tangent lengths and radius/degree bends. You may be able to use none, some or all of the universal kit piping. But do the math first so you know. And make sure the IC can fit.

It doesn't look like PVC, nor does the description state that it is PVC. Not sure where you're getting that from.

Why not? Do you have any experience with them? I have an ebay intercooler and one other their universal piping kit and haven't had a problem with it. I did have to buy some additional piping but it was for way akward bends.
