plz help am i screwed????
well i curbed one of my rims so today i started to fix the problem but i might have made it worse. FIrst i took 600 grit sandpaper and sanded the polished lip and the curbed part of the rim. then i started to polish with a metal polisher however the rim is not shinny as it was before. Am i screwed or do i have to do something else.
please help me
oh yea i have the axis mod7 rims with the polished lip
thanks

How bad do they look? Can you post a pic? Because if it doesn't look too bad you COULD do the same to the others to match the one you messed up. But like I said, I don't know how bad this one looks. If that's not an option you like, I would look for someplace to re-finish the rim for you professionally. My .02
thx for the help well the reason why i used the 600 was because of the curbed part. well i polished it again but axis is telling me that since it has a clear coat it will be imposible to get the shin back. so i think im just going to get it re done. only 100 dollars and they fix the curbed part of the rim. i think its a good deal
well i sanded the whole lip with 600 than 1000 1500 and then 2000 and then polished it. well since it doesnt have a clear coat now should i get it clear coated to lock in the polished lip???? oh yea it looks good now mb shinnier then the other rims.
I had to sand off the clear coat from all 4 of my rims because of salt damage. As I said above, they look great. The down side is that they need to be polished regularly to keep them looking good. Doesn't take that long but you have to take the time to do it.
