Its for the better. Any attempted repair on that amount of damage would have resulted in a car that would have never been the same.

Good luck on you next car purchase.

Doesn't look that bad. Only the RF side seem to be damaged. The left headlight isn't even damaged. The cornering light popping out coulda just been the bumper. As for the reson they would total it, I've heard that if you pop your airbags they would do that because airbags on this car costs a good 3-4k to replace.

dude, that will buff out.........

Holy ****! Dude, be thankful your allright, seriously, that's a hard hit! did you have your seat belt on? holy crap that thing is slammed. I gotta disagree with the last post, my buddy just cracked up his '96 and the bumper is NOWHERE near as close to the tire as that, and yet once they stripped it at the body shop the subframe underneath the quarter looked real bad and the core-support crumpled where they all rot and crumpled where it was hit. dude, that looks bad.

Hey, you should wait till you get the check before you give them the title, and then after you get the check you should hook me up with what's left for lights for a good price........

Sorry to hear about your car, I'd be bumming, you should stay in the family and get a g35 or a 6th gen (stay far away from a 5.5)
Just be thankful your alive, and hope you don't get ptsd a few months down the road, lol. you did get an ambulance ride for your neck injuries right?

Well thank you all for your help and sympothy. I have my new car and it is very fun to drive! I purchased a Lexus IS300 5 speed. This thing is quick.

Anyway, I will be selling all of the parts that I have collected over the years and a few that were on the car that are now sitting in the car. I will post in the for sale section later tonight with what I have. The money from these parts will be going toward some aftermarket parts on my new ride. There are sooooo many aftermarket parts for the IS300!!!! I am going to go broke.

Thanks again everyone and I hope that you all can use my extra parts.

Nice. I tested an IS, and even the auto was a nice car to drive. Resale was too high, though. We got the Maxima for a lot less than what a comparable IS would have cost. Sure, the IS is RWD, but the Maxima is as fast and is larger (safer).

I would love to have an IS, though, if I could have afforded one. What color did you get?

I got silver. I love detailing, so this was the best color IMO since it is hard to see swirl marks and blemishes. This means I wont spend every waking moment washing and waxing like I did with the black Infiniti.

The other nice thing about this car is that it is a Lexus Certified Pre Owned car, so I get 3 years from day of purchase and 100K total bumper to bumper warranty. This makes me feel good.

Lexus and certified pre-owned? sh!tz, that cant be cheap. How much you pay for it?

But that is a nice car, I drove my cousin's and it just holds the road so well... and suede seats make you feel even faster
