Need help with Fiamm horn install...

Bought my "E" and "F" horns yesterday and I was all ready to install this morning. Looked easy as cake when I popped the hood. Did the switch on the horn in the engine bay, reconnected the wires, but nothing worked. Tried both horns and in both locations but to no avail. It's not the wiring of the car because when I put the stocks back on, they worked fine. I figure then it's one of three things: 1) bought the wrong horns, 2) both horns are broken, 3) I installed wrong. I will enclose some pics for you all, please shed some light on my predicament.

Here's the "F" horn out of box...

Here's a closeup of how I connected everything. The horn comes with the black connector with two ends. According to the instructions, the wire from the car goes on the left side and a jumper wire goes on the right side.

To finish, I put the loop on the other end of the jumper wire on top of the stud from the horn and placed it in the OEM bracket. Does anyone have any idea what I did wrong?

Try and grounding the wire to something else besides itself.

Yeah, Terrance...try to ground it to the body of the car. If you look, you should see where other accessories are grounded in numerous places under the hood. Any of those should do fine. Good luck

I grounded the horn to a bolt on the body right underneath the horn...it didn't work! The grounding wire that they provided is only about 3 inches long so it won't reach anything else under the hood. Also, when I initially put the wire on the horn, it was per instructions from the manufacturer. Need more info...it'll be tremendously helpful if you guys can tell me how your horns are grounded. Thanks.

I hope that's not the problem. Oh well, the hood's down for now until I can figure out a way to make this work. Looking to hear what you come up with.

I don't have the horn myself, however, try runing a + and - directly from the battery to the horn..if the horn sounds, you can eliminate the horn as a defect...just an idea..

Geez - your photos look identical to my car. Here's a thought: Did you get any of that slippery dielectric goop (or whatever it is) on the terminals to the horn wire clips? I noticed that when I pulled back the protective rubber sleeve to remove the wire from the original horn that there was plenty of this stuff around the clip. Maybe it's not allowing a good electrical contact with the terminal on the new horn. Hope this helps.

I have mine setup the same as yours. Maybe the horn(s) is/are defective.

Do you have both horns "E" and "F", or only "F". I bought today both and i saw one was behind the gril, does that mean i have to take the gril off and put it.

BTW another question do you have to get both horns?

You should get both horns while you're at it. You don't need to take the grille off to get to the one you mentioned. It takes patience if you have large hands, so prepare for that.
