Anyone know where to get Gl-4 gear oil? I justchanged my CV,and all I could fid was Gl-5 so that's what it has in it right now, but I want to change it to Gl-4 since that's wht the manual recommends.

Try the regional forums or check the oil companies website. I used redline MTL for my car. Check and see if they have a shop near you

www.redlineoil.com

amsoil

http://www.amsoil.com/dealerlocatorresults/

If you can wait a few days. These guys are pretty good

www.myoilshop.com

Either way, I'd get that GL5 stuff out asap. Check out this thread:

hope that helps.

check out http://www.specialtyformulations.com/. It seems to out perform amsoil and redline products according to Bob Is the Oil Guy Website.

I used the stuff in my 03 Altima 3.5SE 5-Speed Manual and
it felt great!

Also, avoid driving your car with the GL-5 oil. It is not compatible with the metal parts of the Nissan transmission. Take it out ASAP!
