Bump... I'm waiting for my cattman headers and I am going to install them myself. Anyone ever have any problems with the header bolts snapping on them? Mine are pretty rusty.

the front manifold bolts on mine actually came off pretty easy.. they were really clean under the heat shield.. dont know how the back will be though.. so far just changing the front one even made a noticeable difference.. cant wait till i can get to the rear manifold

I got the chilton and basically all it says is remove downpipe then remove header bolts. It sucks.

hahaha...the rear headers are a major B!tch.

You will need to remove the intake manifold because you will have to get to the EGR tube. You will also need access to the top header bolts.
The rear manifold heat shield is NOT fun either...mainly because it doesn't want to come out.

Good luck...hopefully you, or someone you know, have small hands and can get behind there with no problem.

If I had/wanted to do it all over again, taking out the engine would seem a lot easier. hahaha

Yeah I heard it is much easier to drop the engine. So good luck however you tackle this project.

I did mine completely from the bottom, and I did not remove the intake manifold. You need to drop the engine cradle and remove the rear mount bracket from the engine. Some of the bolts are hard to get to, but swivels and gear wrenches are a major help.
