cross drilled brake check

At 20,000 miles my rotors are eaten up and cracked and pads worn out.
I have brembo cross drilled rotors and i used ceramic pads (thinking these would be softer and not eatup the disc's). My rotors have a small crack on each hole. I am kind of dissapointed here.

1. So people with cross drilled rotors, how many miles have you gotten out of them?
2. Did your rotors cracked?

I am thinking of going to slotted, maybe they last longer. Do they?

that sucks... Who did you order from?
I got mine from irotors and so far they are fine. I've got about 20000 Kilometers on them. I'm in canada eh.

From the research that I did before I purchased, cracking is only a problem when the machinist hits a "cooling vane" during the drilling process. Are your rears cracked also?
I"m interested to know if this is fact or fiction.

The ceramic pads where your problem. Use some OEM pads and the life of your rotor will increase substantially. Ceramic Pads eat up rotors since they are a harder material.

blanks give the best performance. most surface area. the gas release problem that pads had is no longer relevant. best setup is some blanks and a set of good pads like the hawks.

Are you sure they were "real" Brembos?
Cracking cross drilled rotors is common, more so in cheaper knock offs though.
I had cross drilled rotors from Irotors and they held up fine. Im now running cross drilled rotors from AuToMaX_95 in the G/D and there doing fine as well.

Anyone had any luck in the past week with Irotors? I cannot seem to get through. I've left a couple voice-mails and an email. I'm in Canada, so I can't call the 888 number, so I'm dialing (951) 736-9211 and all I get is the voicemail...good thing I don't pay long distance.

I'm running Brembo X-Drilled and Ceramic Pads here as well. Wagner Quiet stop Ceramic pads to be exact. I originally ran Axxis Metal Masters when I first installed the X-Drilled rotors 4 years ago. I've got over 75,000 miles on the rotors at this point and they are smooth as glass. I've never had brakes stay completely smooth for so long in my life. No vibrations what so ever. I tossed the Metal Masters with about 50% pad material left because they started to squeal. Since switching over to Wagner Quiet Stop Ceramic pads 2 years ago my brakes are silent and still as smooth as glass. The Brembo X-Drilled's have proven to be the best rotor I've ever run on any vehicle I've ever owned.

used axxis ceramics on my cross drilled/slotted rotors on my 240sx for a year and a half (25k+ miles) never show any signs of cracking and the combination gave me good results

I'm running the ones from SportBrakes.com and never had any problems with them at all.
