are you using the 4th gen manifolds or 5th gen manifolds? the 5th gen manifold has the pre cats built into it, so the gains wont be as good compared with the 4th gen manifold. The 4th gens pre cats are built into the y-pipe so replacing the y-pipe with an aftermarket gives gains similar to headers on a 5/5.5gen. I believe on my y-pipe(CP) it was 2.5" but then again i never really measured it. A 2.5" catback is more then sufficient for a N/A engine, anything larger will result in a loss of low/mid end power.

as for power gains, if your using the 4th gen manifolds id expect similar gains, maybe a little more, if your using the 5th gen manifold id expect less maybe 8-10WHP?

I know for a fact im using 4th gen manifold for the front bank, but im not sure about the rear bank manifold was the same. but I did not know about the pre cats in the manifold? are they in the rear manifold on the dek? And how bad does that hurt me

Budget y-pipe is 2.5" OD, and you will experience a noticeable power gain (~15 whp), mostly due to elimination of two small cat. converters, not the .25" increase in OD size.

Unless u have a 1st gen equal length Stillen.....but yes it all depends on the manifolds u are running....as also stated in earlier posts.....as far as size....after the merge the y-pipe is 2.5" and u should also run 2.5" cat-back......although 2.25" could be acceptable if NEEDED..........the primarys on the y-pipe before the merge I THINK are 1.75" or 2" ill measure when i get home

2.5" Y-pipe. 2.5" Catback. I have a Cattman B-pipe and Dynomax super turbo axleback. Sounds good and gave me a small boost in performance, getting rid of the horrible crimped section behind the stock resonator.

I found this a little odd, but you did a dek swap and arent sure which manifolds you used?

i am pretty sure the rear still has a cat attached to it...because it wouldnt make any sense to have a precat in one and not the other.....
