Car rumbles after start....

ok, My car tends to Rumble when i start it up for about 20 seconds or so, and i'll also have some blue smoke coming from the exhaust for about 10 seconds then it stops...not sure what it is.
I also have a CEL 0111, dont know if it is the problem (Evap system/Flow)
Could this be the problem?

Anyone help....Need to smog in less than 2 months.... thanx.

Valve stem seals leaking oil into the cylinder(s) overnight?

Do you get more blue smoke if you leave the car overnight, versus starting the car back up after it's only been off for 5 min?

does sound like some oil gettin in there a little. take a spark plug or 2 out and see if you have some oil on them. if so, replace valve cover grommets/tube seals, spark plugs, and you should be good. on another note, i wonder if somehow you're gettin some unused fuel in there as well. last spark plug change was when?

Blue smoke is oil. Stem seals is not an unusual or uncommon job. The seals are pretty cheap but I've not replaced them on a max before so I don't know what stuff needs to be removed. Unless you have done timing belt work before you'd be better leaving it to a shop. I don't know if the VQ is an interferance engine, but if so you can destroy the engine by getting the timing belt wrong.

The leak won't kill the car, but it will get worse and will give you a bigger cloud of smoke over time. Dunno about emissions, or if they check for burned oil

i'd say its a little more than an interferance seeing as how it has three timing chains.

could be a headgasket. It won't be cheap to replace but its not the entire engine.
