Recommendations for a new intake?

Ok, well despite the dents and dings on the car(for those of youu who saw my dents post) i will be getting a budget y, b, hi flow cat, test pipe, and magnaflow exaust. Should give it a nice deep growl, expecially with the magnaflow race series muffler(hope that will still be street legall). Now i need an intake that will give me plenty of low end power, i really dont use the high end, but also not looking for an anoying sound that i hear some intakes add. What do you guys use and recommend?

How are you going to have a hi flow cat and a test pipe? You can have one or the other, not both. Stick with the cat, test pipes sounds like ****. As for an intake; they are all the same and they all sound the same. There was a thread a while back where someone dyno tested a bunch of different combinations: PC CAI with stock resonator, pop charger with resonator, stock tube with filter, hacked air box, all kinds of stuff like that, and some had slight increases above others, but in the end its all the same, wont make any difference driving on the street other than just sound.

If you don't want to lose low-end, either stay stock with K&N panel filter or get a PR style intake that goes through the fender.

As vlasic said stick with the cat, the test-pipe will sound like crap and wont give you much of performance gains. Also remember that it will spit out terrible emissions.

As for the intake either get a K&N drop in or Place Racing Cold Air Intake, these will give you the largest gains. If you are just looking for sound, buy a cone filter and do the Poorman's HAI.

Sorry vlasic, i meant to say i was getting a hi flow cat, instead of the test pipe, but for some reason i wrote both.

Markd248: What exactly is the sound a Poorman's gives off, like a whizzing?

I can't do this again. Read the next 4 pages of posts. I am sure that there is another thread that discusses the same thing.
