Well, my old car got broken into and had a Bel 870($100) stolen. That was a great detector for a real bargain price, 1 year no tickets. But, of cours,e insurance tells me to bend over and take it. So, I get new cra, I go to get a reasonably priced detector, can't find any Bels, so I get a Cobra 9200 ($115). Terrible, horrible, hunk of crap. I saw every cop befor eit went off and sometimes they passed me before it would give the audible signal. So, (not wanting any tickets), I go to get a different brand, hoping a low priced escort. Only to find the only cheap escort is cordless, and the cordless ones are crap. So, I have to pony up an additional 140 to get the escort passport 7500. Thats more than I usually get on my weekly paychecks! Anyway, just wanted to complain to some people who would at least pretend to care, my family just says, shut up... Heh, tough love...

 

BTW, does anyone know if the 7500 is good? I know the 8500 is awesome but I can't afford another 90 to upgrade! Any thoughts, opinions, or two cents?

 

Passport 8500 is only 249.00, so you should be able to get it.

 

Ironlord....I carry Bel, Escort, and Passport radar detectors. I have the Bel 980 which is a super wideband radar/safety detector works very well and gives me a signal of about 1 mile ahead of the radar gun. I can cut you a deal on one if you are interested.
