I have some DDE's already installed but i want to black out my headlights now (I got the DDE's before this mod was done) sooo anyways can i place the headlights back in the oven without harming the DDE rings?? OR should i just put a heat gun to it?? anyone put their DDE's in the oven again??

on a side note: how well does Carbon fiber hold up in the oven, i have eyelids and i dont really want to mess them up as nobody makes them anymore...

i put my ddes in twice and they were ok.but the eyelids will peel off like mines did

 

what kinda of eye lids did you have? also do you mean peal off as in just fell and are REusable or peeled off and got damaged...thansk!

 

yes u can pop it back in... considering that it has been open already u won't need to leave it in there that long take it out every so often and try prying it open little by little... btw yes u should take the eyelids off if urs is a stick on... but put it in the over for atleast 1 minute and then take off the eyelid... and if ur having problems putting the eyelid on... use elmers paper glue... if ur asking why elmers glue well heres the story....

i went to the mall and come out and i see some guy pulling off my eye lids and stomping on it... by that time i was shocked at what i seen and went dead still... he threw it at my front windshield and left... and to put it on it had no sticky stuff so i applied elmers glue and put clear tape to hold it in place after wiping off the excess... pm me if u need more details lol

 

And you just watched him do it?? Why didn't you go beat his a$$?!

BTW, I've been thinking about blacking out my headlights too and I also have the DDE's and cf eyelids. I don't think I'll do it though.

 

if u do decide that u want to black out ur headlights... do ur side markers black with that vnt night shade... looks much better... i went for the black and grey look i'll post pics up to show u...
