what type of y-pipe? Got a sound clip..im interested in what it sounds like.

To answer your question, the stillen muffler is a straight thru design so naturally it will be loud..makes sense though, the y-pipe does increase noise, which is why it has gotten louder, one solution would be to get a new muffler.

You're going to need to cut into the pipe to make the noise come down, that's the only way. You need a resonator in there.

Do you think dynamatt would work. I've been told if the res. on an exhaust that didn't come with one, and you put one in you'll lose some hp. Plus doens't some of the noise come from the trunk?

Do the dynamt first, it will probablu reduce the sound, but not enough. Putting a resonator on our cars will not make you loose any significant power. The resonator along with dynamat should reduce sound greatly.

Frankly I also doubt it will help, but it will ease your mind go ahead and do it. It might help reduce cabin noise, but not reduce thwe noise I think you're hearing. I used to have my car weithout a resonator, and it was real loud, bassy, and dronie. When the resonator was put on it reduced the sound greatly to point when I'm cruising I don't really hear it much.

All i want is to reduce the cabin noise. The exterior noise isn't that
