haynes or chiltons?

ok i just financed this sexy *** ride 2 weeks ago for a good deal...i joined here because this is a great forum and bcuz i know SQUAT about nissan. my ses light is on and stays on soon as i start it...im guessing maybe stealership reset ecu and it took a while for the light to come back on...so using this forum i have learned that ignition (misfires etc) and emissions (o2 etc) are NOTORIOUS for my 99 max...alright so i just chucked some money out for this ride and not about to chuck any more besides the $15 for a service manual...does anybody have any experience that u could honeslty be able to compare these 2 kinds for this car, preferably with more detail in ignition and emissions DEFINETLY...thanks

I just picked up a chiltons. Though the years and various cars Ive found chiltons has more indepth info than haynes. For example chiltons actually will have specific instructions and diagrams for transmissions where haynes wont. But for the basic stuff haynes is ok. Even though you can usually find any info you need on-line, its always nice to have a book handy.

I just looked thru my chiltons for the info you need, and there is a full section on testing, removal and installation for the coils and the 02 sensors.
