i was hearing a clicking noise coming from my front right wheel, so i decided to see what the haps. i raised my car and had my g/f put it in drive, so i can try to pinpoint the noise(my wheel was off). when it started to, turn it made a CLUNK CLUNK noise. sounds like something was loose. when my g/f pressed the gas the noise just came at a more rapid pace. anybody have any ideas on what the problem is?
also the clicking noise while im driving, doesnt start right away. it usually starts after 15-30minutes of driving. its not as loud as a busted cv joint....

This kind of sound may emanate from a defective front right wheel bearing or the right hand drive shaft support bearing. Raise the car and support it on sturdy jackstands. Slide under and use a mechanic's stethoscope or a length of small-diameter rubber vacuum line as a listening aid. Have an assistant spin the right front wheel by hand while you listen at each place along the drive path to pinpoint the source of the sound.

Noise from a bad Constant Velocity joint is usually loudest when the steering wheel is turned to full lock. If your noise is heard when the front wheels are pointed straight ahead the problem is not likely to be the CV joint.

Verify that all the wheel nuts are tight. Check for a pebble or some bit of road trash which might have become caught in the brake caliper or between the rotor and dust shield.
