rack&pinion bushings

How do you remove the rack and pinion bushings? Do I need to remove the rack? I looked under the car it seems I have to unbolt the front antisway bar to get to bottom bolts but I cant reach the top bolts. Also does anyone make replacement bushing for sway bar ends that bolt to the frame or lca I dont remember.

Can't wait 35min for an answer?

You can get swaybar bushings from Nissan or urethane ones from Energy Suspension.

To change the rack bushing you'll need to unbolt a few things on the driver side and slide it out. On the passenger side you'll need to drop the y-pipe, remove a heat shield, and unbolt a few other things to slide it out on that side. If your steering is in question you might consider changing steering racks before you go thru all that work.

I have tried replacing mine, my driver side one fell apart so i bought 2 new ones.
The driver side is not super hard to replace but the passenger side is a friken pain i tried and decided i don't want to take apart half the car.

I would also recommend really considering if you need to change them.
