i was installing my turbo timer today, and as told in haynes manual, i disconnected the airbig plug from underneath the steering wheel(so they will not deploy by accident, when working with ecu)and after i was done, the air bag light started blinking (malfunction). i even restted my ecu, but no go. any suggestions?

did it ever occur to you that because you disconnected it that the ECU is going to freak out... the only choices you have is to plug the sensor back in or ignore the light... and why do you have a turbo timer if you don't mind me asking

i was only following instructions, i did not want to take a chance of deploying them and pay 5000 to repair. i got a turbo timer because it is a cheap gtech pro mod, and rather accurate.

by having the ignition key in on position. then turn the screw clockwise wait 2 seconds and turn it back. repeat once or twice simultaneously. (written in haynes) i even disconnected the + battery terminal for about 10 mins. still the same.

My airbag light came on and I didn't do anything to it. Any problems that may occur? I have 27,000 miles on the Max.

Maybe you should ask your dealer?
