Man was this one slow or what!! It was loud, but ****, it couldn't even hang! I know it was a auto, it was that fox body GT style. First time we both hit it, and I pulled easy. I was like well maybe he wasnt racing, so he looked at me and said do it again. I was like okay, So I let him hit it first (I didn't plan it that way just I was not paying attention), and he hit it. I was like crap, down shifted to 2nd, and nailed it, I got up to his speed in no time, and passed him with ease.. I even let off next to him and hit it again just to play. lol!!! That was bad.

yeah, it must have been a fake 5.0 or something, i don't think a max can keep up with a 5.0. my brother has a gt and it's pretty quick compared to my max, you can feel the torque in his car.

 

I think the 4.6 liter does 0-60 in 5.5 sec and has like 260 ponies....

The 5.0 has 210 hp? It dynos 170s to the wheels and I dyno 184 stock. Big difference. Sorry there just TQ monsters thats all they are. And I have beaten many Stangs already. It defintely was not a fake 5.0 when it was loud as hell, sounded like a mustang V8 not a v6...

 

Actually it is 225 hp @ 4200 RPM from 1987-92. So it must have been a 93 205 hp, or less than 1987. By the way, the mustang you referred to is a 1985 with the 210 hp.

 

Very true, if I wanted straightline performance I'd go with one of the domestics, but for everyday living you can't beat the Japanese makes..

 

 

I raced an auto 94 GT awhile back with the 302. The guy was an *** that night but I went back the next night and we chatted. He showed me his engine and it was a 302. I'm pretty sure if I whooped on one, you did too.

 

If you replace the word "most" with the word "some V8", then I agree. Don't forget, though, that Japanese cars are superior even if we lose a race !!!!

 

What about a Rolls-Royce For the price, I must say the Maxima has a nice looking and feeling interior for the price but I wouldn't go as far as comparing all Japanese makes to Domestics.

Can't expect a new Mustang, which dates back to the 60's or 70's, I can't remember which, to have fit/finish and build quality of a relatively new Maxima. If my spelling sucks, Its because Its 5a.m. and I'm on MSN chatting

Compare the Maxima's interior to a Buick Regal GS or Grand Prix GTP, they look like dog cr@p lol! Their leather feels like rubbery vinyl or something...

I'd think that over 90% of Mustang GTs, Firebird Trans Ams and Camaro Z28s could beat a Maxima anyday..I still say that's most..
