rwd vq35 valve covers

i got a free vq35 from a 2005 g35 6spd from work and i was wondering if the rwd vq35 valve covers can be used on the fwd vq35. they are the updated ones, and i believe my rear one is leaking. i assume the drivers side cover cant be used because the oil filler neck is too high, but what about the rear one?

If they are the updated ones than try confirming by checking the part #'s between the 6th gen & Z for bank 1.

In any case, we know that it'll bolt up since RWD/FWD heads are the same. The only difference is probably where on the cover the PCV valve is located. Perhaps also whether or not the #1 coil is secured at an angle.

Your 3.5/6spd is begging to go into a S13.

Then I'll take the block off your hands. My s13 shell is getting a VQ30 or 35 before spring!

Will those valve covers fit in a 6th gen engine bay?

Because I saw some "painted" covers over on www.350z.com and was curious. I have better things to spend my money on right now, but maybe a little "bling" in the future.

the fronts would be pointless to put in since they have an "extended" oil fill to clear the 350z intake manifold... rears might fit as mentioned as long as the coils are in the same positions as the fwd's

as far as i know, the front one fits fine, no issue with the clearance.

Unless I missed the part where you say, 'the motor is blown' I'd dunk that sucker into a car it was never meant to belong.

its just a long block. too much money to buy a car, buy parts for the engine. no time, nor a place to work.

Its going in my s13 instead. Buhahahaha. Its gotta be ready by spring too.

edit- how hard is it to use 3L valve covers on the 3.5L? Would I have to notch the vtc actuator assembly? I thought I read they bolt on...
