Fitment issues with H3 HID fogs?

Does anyone know if there are any fitment issues with the standard H3 HID fog bulbs in a 2002 maxima? I'm trying to figure out if i can purchase the regular kit without having to modify any thing or if i need to buy an H3 mini kit?

Thanks for any help.

all you need to do it stick a screw driver in from the inside and push the shield down a little so it doesn't rub.

I have purchased both mini h3 hid kits available for the 02-03 max and they both fit. Standard H3 hid bulbs are too long. Moving the reflector adjusts the cutoff and may create glare, an undesirable affect

Is your pic the 8K fogs? I have those too and I wish I had gotten 6K's a little to much blue for my taste. Think I'm gonna get 6K headlights.

To OP

Get the H3 mini's

They are 6k, it looks 8k because i took the pic during the day with some overcast.
They appear more white at night, i have the matching 6k d2rs, good combo.

I had the same issue, I didn't want to use the H3 bulbs. Operatic sent H3c bulbs and a return authorization for the H3.

I have no IDEA how you can make a std. H3 fit without ENTIRELY removing the inner shield?!?!
H3c's are the way to go....and ditto what Majestic said about the cut-off and creating glare.
USE the stock cut-off with H3c's....

6k is a nice color, but more BLUish White than OEM 4300k hid's...duh.
--Makes the OEM's look yellow.
The way to go is upgrading the OEMs to 6k IF you want to MATCH.

Ok you are using the HID H3 bulb right? The lock spring will fit tight on the bulb body but other than that mine fit fine from Xtralights! Now if you're having fitment problems with a halogen H3 as well your power wire does have a recess inside both 00-01 and 02-03 foglight covers. What problem are you having , can u explain them with a little more detail?
