Need Advise on Exterior modifications

I have a 96 maxima SE, all black with black leather interior. Summer times is here and i want to hook this bad boy up. I want to get either 19 or 20 inch rims with low profile tires, and some fender vents, and maybe some HID's. Can anyone tell me a good site where i can purchase these at a fair price. And also if you have any sick mods done on your car can you please post pics. Thanks

the wheels are of your choice, but you can get hid's in the group buy section, CHEAP
you can get some clean stuff for your car at custommaxima.com but ive heard some bad stuff about them. you need a lip kit, eithere stillen or ionicdynamics, dont do the z3 fenders the only car that can pull that off with out lookin gay is a z3

so this looks gay (thats just 1 of 1000 examples of well done fender vents)? its not about the parts its about the execution. i would stay away from bolt on pieces for our car though, custom would be the way to go.

as for the other stuff, i would just say keep it clean. 20s can work but 19s are the perfect fit imo. hids in reflector housings leave something to be desired. i would look into a custom projector retrofit if you really want hids.

Whatever you do, don't get those generic stick on fender vents. Those things are the plague and I still can't understand why they are so popular right now...
Personally I would stick to simple things first like clear corners, AE headlights, and clear/smoked tails.

for exterior mods.....stay away from the ghey *** vents.
before throwing hids in your housings, search for hid retrofits on the org. its way worth going the retrofit route with projectors.

like black on black said...19's are the way to go.
you may also want to look into stillen's full body lip kit if you want your car to stand out.

is your car dropped? or are u on stock suspension? i wouldnt recommend adding rims until u have a decent drop to eliminate any wheel gaps. but its ur car...u call the shots.

Whatever you do, don't add stickers (ie hood graphics) to your Maxima.

The things that make the biggest difference IMO of course, are the following things in Phase I. Then the items in Phase II. There are so many ways to customize your Maxima, that I won't start listing where to get everything. Use the FREE search function and read up some.

Phase I:
suspension
rims
lip kit/body kit (Go with Stillen for best fitment)
window tint

Phase II:
brake upgrade
Retrofitted projector headlights
LED tailights

are you going to lower your car? this will be helpful in picking what size rims to go with, here are some links to sites for Maxima stuff, make a list of what you want to do in each category:engine, exterior, interior, ice, wheels, brakes, suspension then decide what you want to attack first and get a budget, look around on here for ideas and visit
http://www.cardomain.com/ for other examples of nice Maximas

http://www.ionicdynamics.com/
http://stillen.com/

I will help you all I can for advice...........holla

IT’S YOUR CAR, TIME AND MONEY MOD IT HOW YOU WANT!

HIDS with stock lights blind everyone driving it front of you which makes you look like an a55hole. Fender vents from vatozone make you look cheap and ghetto. 20"s on stock suspension will make you look like you riding donk. <---- mod wisely my friend

i would say you are crazy.

i get my inspiration from places way different than your average maxima owner, and vent modifications are very big in my scene so i geuss its just a matter of style.
