Alot more reliable and CLEANER than having that $70 stock rubber crap line in there.

 

What lie was told about them? All i ever ever heard is that it doesnt require being replaced again due to rotting and cracking. Thats why I did mine. Got rid of the leak and is more durable.

 

it is told they give a stiffer feel to the clutch pedal because the rubber line can expand under pressure. The SS line wont expand.

But in all reality, I highly doubt you will 'feel' the difference with your foot.

 

Hmm, I know that does pertain to brake lines but didnt my clutch line didnt feel any different.

 

My SS brake lines made a BIG difference.

 

Dooley....how so did your SS clutch line make a "BIG" difference? just wondering...why did you photoshop your car to look like a 4X4? the cardomain pic of that one looks clean though

stock clutch, actually same clutch as when I bought it 120,000 miles ago

I put in a sort of custom line that doesn't go to the clutch master cylinder, I used the union box that the clutch and brake lines connect to because I don't want the box getting corroded with it's internals being exposed.

 

i have a leak in my system. I bought a new master cylinder when I got the car and that didn't solve anything. still had to add fluid every 2-3 weaks. I ordered a SS line on Ebay for 95-01 Maxima's (i believe). I went to install it and it does not look like the right one. Anyone got a picture of what there's looks like? I will try to post a pic later.

 

Mine felt the same way, its just that i have a small leak too, so instead of buying rubber crap again, i went with the SS.

 

I replaced my rubber w/rubber, and it leaked again in 2 years. so i went w/SS. Freakin banjo joint...

ss clutch lines are for durability, not feel. Unless your stock hose is really worn and about to burst I'll challenge anyone to tell a s/s line vs. a good stock line in a blind test.

SS brake lines are sometimes noticeable compared to rubber lines, but it's not a big difference. People who install s/s brake lines are getting the benefit of the fluid and replacing tired stock lines. If you installed s/s brake lines on a new car you'd have a hard time telling in a blind test.

you can feel it big time in the brake lines......but in the clutch, i couldnt tell at all. no big deal its a 30 part, just know you wont have to replace it and its better than stock....and cheaper

 

you should not notice any difference. anyone who does has issues with there stock lines. it's a pure reliability mod. bar none.

I can't make a new thread. Don't know why. Even tho I have only like 3 posts I joined a yr or so ago.

Anyhow I got this SS Clutch line from Ebay months and months ago. I went to install it since I have a leak and I think it's the wrong one b/c If it's the right one I don't know how I am going to install it.
