i just noticed that the 2k2 "Maxima" & "SE" emblems are (a lot)shinier than the 2k-2k1 emblems--i don't know why they changed them, i think the 2k-2k1 emblems (the dark ones) look a million times better--does anyone know if these would be easy to switch-(are they the same size, font, ect.)? does anyone want to trade(i'll pay shipping)? i really want those darker emblems--i think they would make the taillight housings on my 2k2 look better

 

I dunno...I always remove all of my badging.

Yes, the 2k-2k1 vs. 2k2 badges are different. 2k2 don't have black chrome anymore. I agree, they do look better.

i think they did it just to match up with the chrome rings in the tail lights. But i do like the debadged look the best tho...just my 2c

 

what's the point of taking the badges off?

 

It just looks cleaner....more finished. Its like when you see a maxima w/ nissan,MAXIMA, dealership badges, stickers, and a licence plate frame w/ writing around it...it looks tackey and clusterd w/ all kind of writing and letters on the car. I have been debating a debadge for my car..Im sure Ill end up doin it...And of course its always personal preference like anything else..

 

You could paint over them with the blackening paint like BigDogJonx used on his taillights. That would give them the shaded look like on the 2K\2K1.
