Rear Rotors wont come off

So we were installing my BBK today. the front is done. the only problem we have is taking off the rear rotors because i have some nice ones to install. they've never been taken off the car since day 1 i think. we tried the mouse milk to taking all kinds of mallets to it and it wouldn't budge. any clue??

if you're not re-using the old ones, just smack them with a mini-sledge/BFH. A mallet won't do jack. Sure you'll ruin it...but who cares...you're replacing them anyhow and rear OEM rotors are super-cheap...

i know on the front there are threaded holes to back the rotors off of the hub. i forget if there are ones on the back too...you could try checking that out. if that dont work, get some aerocroil, or pb blaster....soak it....wait.....return with bfh.

I had the same problem, grab some liquid wrench and spray the backside of the rotor as best you can. Let it sit for a while. OEM's don't have jack screws on the rears, but some aftermarkets did put them on. Don't forget to put antiseize on the new rotors

(PB blaster) Apply the spray into hub area and comeback and force it into the tight areas with some compressed air let it set and smack it around with your BFH. Hurt me, give it to me big daddy, you know that sorta thing.....

I had the same problem and even hitting with a Sledge hammer did not work. Loaned a bearing puller from Autozone and that did the trick.

Spray pbblaster / WD40 on the back of the rotors, Tighten the puller considerably and step away. The rotor will come loose in a few mins.

Had same problem when I replaced my rotors last week.
Take a sledge hammer to them, but make sure not to hit anything but the old rotors.

This is the common practice even at dealerships!

a regular hammer always worked for me.. smack the hell out of it, and you should see rust falling out with each hit.. DONT hit the braking surface of the rotor.. hit in-between when lug nut studs where the rim touches the rotor
