HELP! HID bulbs blown???

Hi,

I accidentally left my hid headlights on and when I came out from class, my battery was dead. I had my car jumpstarted and now my hids don't work. I have a '99 maxima sel and I'm very upset. The weird thing is that my passenger side bulb worked at first but after turning them on and off to hopefully get the driver side working, they both don't work now. any suggestions?

I checked my headlight fuses under the hood. any other ideas would be appreciated...

Sounds more to be fried ballasts than blown bulbs.

That's what I would assume as well.

OP: How are they hooked up...plug and play kit, or using a relay switched off of the stock headlight harness?

i just had the plug and play kit hooked up to the stock harness...

I haven't had the chance to check my bulbs or ballasts, but I was needing info on how to check other things about my car that would maybe get it working again...

any other info is greatly appreciated...

has this ever happened to other ppl who owns an hid kit?

umm.....ok....lets see..sorry if i feel like this is a dumb question...anyways. to help you out. Hook up your stock bulb, see if they work, if they do, then its your bulb or ballasts. How to check it the ballasts work..get working bulbs....how to see if a bulb works, get a working ballast. DOH!!! but obviosuly you cant cause non of them work sooo....do a continuity check on the bulb, if there is continuity that means the bulb MOST likely 99.9% isn't the problem and is the ballast. How do you check if the ballast is working?? that i'm not really sure of except to plug in a working bulb

hey, check and make sure that you don't have your high beams on..... cuz that happened to me and it turned out that they were on... and most people that put hids in their cars don't run the high and low ones. just the lows so when the high beam is on, the hids will cut out
