I never understand people who would rather have noise and clunking over quality? .............................
Rode on Progress for 4 years and I tracked my car and never an issue.
How many threads are there about noise and clunking and failed struts on Eibachs? I think Chernmax and Ramberg are the only two guys that didn't have an issue with them but they had rubber sleeves installed if I remember correctly.

yeah i was thinking to go Eibach after the the second month of waiting, but figured to stay the course with Progress....Eibach are more expensive and if this forum has numerous threads on how to fix noise etc. after only two weeks of use..that cant be positive. But i guess some people have better luck than others
Are you doing the install yourself... I saw a guy putting progress springs on an eclipse today while i was doing rotors he was so frustrated at one point i thought he was gonna walk home... The car will look awesome dropped ... take pics
A friend will do the front for me. I'll do the back. I heard it's easy.

I have a question and I hope im not jacking the thread...sorry ahead of time.
but whats the ride quality like...i understand better handling...
I live in NYC...and the road are not perfect....right now im riding on stock, I recently had to replace the front struts...(stock struts).....I have a 2006 max..now with 33,000 miles and when i change them when the car was around 18000 miles....
Im thinking of the alternative's cause I know from reading here and talking to my mechanic that the stocker's suck. he recommended KYB AGX strut, but again..the handling will be better but all together a rough ride. I already did agx on my 96 max...it was ok, but rough....
I do want to do springs and struts...cause I know soon the stock ones will give out....
progressive or eibachs springs? with what struts?

KYB makes a front strut that in my opinion is somewhat better than stock, KYB AGX has a rear 8-way adjustable gas shock that can be adjusted for street or track. My rear setup use to consist of Eibach Springs, Stillen rear anti-sway bar, racingline endlinks, and KYB-AGX 8-way adjustable gas shocks and I loved the setup. It did wonders for tightening up the rear end especially in tight turns when the concern is the *** breaking away on you.
The bonus is that on rough streets you can dial them down for a softer ride. For the fronts the better struts are Koni. May do better on the pounding since once you are lowered the shocks/struts take somewhat more of a beating. But hey I know, I'm a transplanted New Yorker and every time I head to the city, I bring my SUV. NYC street generally suck.
