Put them on...And took them off.

Hey.
This thursday I had Progress Springs installed in the front ONLY. I was not happy with the quality of the ride. So I took them OFF on friday. I now have a set of Progress Springs if anyone is interested. Like I said the front springs were on for about 24 hours. The rears are untouched. PM me if anyone is interested. Heres a pic of how it looked.

I always have tried to warn folks. The Teins and Eibachs are better riding springs. I have had all 3 springs (Proress, Teins, Eibachs).

No question about it. If you want to stay close to factory Progress is NOT the way to go. Period!

Really? You didn't like the way the Progress springs felt? What kind of struts are you running?

+1 Move from Progress to Tein. For what I do, it was good move.

They're made to be installed as sets not pairs.

Don't you think that may have something to do with the ride you experienced...?

LOL

Progress feels like a go cart but I hate the wheel gap on the Maxima. My passengers say complain when I drive over a bump.

You're going from apples to oranges son. For an everyday (heavy) commuter car the ride will be a lot harsher compared to springs. You bent your rims already, with CO,s the chances will increase of you doing it again. A friend of mine have an 05 IS 300 with Tein's basic damper. Silky smooth on the flats (track) but it is rough on regular roads.

Progress usually gets high praises, I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. Why install only the fronts?
TEIN's S Tech's....FTMFW!!!!

Yes, if he installs the rears then it will get even harsher in terms of ride quality. Sooo, him knowing that it's just a waste of time for him to install the rears.

Yes the springs are meant to work together but if you think for a microsecond the ride is going to smooth out once the rears are in, you're kidding yourself. Simple logic meets physics.

Sell them my man and get Tein part number SKP62-AUB00 which will level out your car with a mild drop. It will drop your car 1.6 inches in the front and only .5 inches in the rear. The system is designed to work with your factory shocks/struts. Your ride quality will remain intact and you'd still be able to have rear passengers. Don't let these other robots who have no experience with different types of springs tell you anything.

Now go get those springs!

I can't return them. The front springs have some scratches on them. Plus people on this site are looking for them. Everyone else has them on backorder.

I've got the Progress springs. The ride could be better, but I've got stock shocks and struts. Any recommendations for replacing the shocks and struts?

Trust me when I tell you the ride is going to get about 20% stiffer with the KYB's in the fronts and rears.

The stock damperners will yeild the best ride quality. The KYB's will make it handle better.

That's why I say go with a "mild" Tein drop and stick with OEM dampeners. Period!
